Welcome to End of the Trail Rescue

Who We Are

About Us

We are the Sister Organization of Dream Catcher Therapy Center and our main goal is to rescue horses and provide them a Second Chance.  Many of our Rescue Horses are known as ‘Four Legged Therapists’ and assist with our Therapy Programs at Dream Catcher Therapy Center.

End of the Trail offers horses a second chance to be cared for, nurtured and valued.  We provide shelter, quality food and humane treatment to horses that have been abused, neglected or unwanted. We also educate the community about animal abuse and how or where to report these situations.

We are in the process of expanding our services and capabilities to meet the growing needs in our area.  We want to ensure that we provide for horses and human needs for the foreseeable future and with your help, we can build an amazing legacy for horses and people in need.

Testimonials

What people say

I became aware of End of the Trail Rescue in January 2020. There was a Sunday Focus article in
the Montrose Daily Press that highlighted several of the horses. I started volunteering at The Ranch
and fell in love with the horses. These horses have such a calming effect on me. Depending on the
day, and I'm sure my 'aura' I bring with me, I get more from them than they get from me. On days
when they need me more I still leave fulfilled in my heart and soul. Bottom line: my cup runneth
over when I'm with them ❤

End of the Trail Rescue has touched my life in so many ways. Between the people there and the
horses you cannot help but feel loved every time you visit. Despite having various degrees of
neglect, abuse or abandonment the horses GIVE so much! They help individuals with physical and
mental challenges to include seniors and veterans. Please come out and see this facility, visit with
the people and the horses and you will see for yourself what a difference EOTTR makes for the
horses and people.

Top Notch horse rescue and sanctuary!! So impressed with the care of the horses and the ranch is
very well maintained - very clean. I have visited many times and the horses are pure joy to be
around - it is such a peaceful and beautiful setting. If you have never visited, make an appointment
and go out and see this outstanding rescue. It is certainly a cause I support and donate when I am
able. Great job End of the Trail Rescue!!

This is a sanctuary for both horses and people like myself looking to reconnect with life through horses. There is a therapy program utilizing horses to support humans in need. The staff, owner and volunteers are compassionate and friendly.
