Cinderfella’s Story
End of the Trail Horse Rescue offers homes to abused, abandoned and neglected horses of all ages. We give rescue horses a second chance.
A Beautiful Soul Waiting for His Happily Ever After
Cinderfella came to us after being saved from a herd dispersal, carrying a history that was heavier than any horse should bear. His previous owner called him “too much horse,” and in truth, he is a spirit that needs gentling, patience, and understanding. It was clear from the beginning that he had known fear—and likely, unkind hands.
But Cinderfella is more than his past.
Beneath his fear lives a deeply curious, intelligent, and sensitive horse. Once he feels safe, he will quietly make his way toward new people, often choosing to investigate children first. There’s something in them he trusts—and they seem to sense the gentleness in him too. He has become a cherished partner in our Mental Health programs, where he shows an incredible softness with people of all ages.
Cinderfella has already come a long way. He halters, leads, lunges, loads, and stands calmly for the farrier. He has been saddled and has even been ridden by our trainers. Every step forward is a reminder of how much heart this horse truly has.
We continue to be amazed by this beautiful soul. With time, patience, and love, Cinderfella will surely become someone’s once-in-a-lifetime partner.
If you feel called to be part of his journey, he just might be ready to begin his next chapter with you.
