Bean’s Story
End of the Trail Horse Rescue offers homes to abused, abandoned and neglected horses of all ages. We give rescue horses a second chance.
Bean joined us after his beloved owner, Sheila, passed away unexpectedly several summers ago. Sheila had visited the Ranch in the past and fell in love with the peaceful setting and the care our rescue horses receive. When a former employee heard about Bean needing a new home, they knew this would be the perfect place for him to land.
In his younger years, Bean was a trusted trail horse and the pride and joy of Sheila. When he first arrived, he was a little unsure of his new surroundings and clearly missed his person. With time, patience, and lots of love, he has settled in beautifully.
Today, Bean is thriving. He has formed strong bonds—especially with his buddy Flash—and can often be found enjoying the pasture with his friends. Gentle, kind, and full of heart, Bean brings a quiet sweetness to the Ranch, and we’re so grateful to have him as part of our family.
