Danny’s Story –
End of the Trail Horse Rescue offers homes to abused, abandoned and neglected horses of all ages. We give rescue horses a second chance.
Danny Boy arrived alongside his companion Josephine, and from the moment he stepped onto our farm, he captured every heart in sight. Deeply people-oriented and endlessly affectionate, Danny Boy is the first to trot over for a gentle nuzzle or to lean in for attention. His joyful greetings have become a daily highlight for staff, visitors, and clients alike.
Out on the pasture, Danny Boy is pure sunshine—running, playing, and reveling in the simple happiness of being a mule. Though he still needs training and isn’t rideable at this time, his gifts shine brightest in our Equine Mental Therapy programs. With his calm presence, curious nature, and unmistakable kindness, he brings comfort and connection to all who work with him.
Danny Boy may not speak our language, but he communicates in something deeper—warmth, trust, and a whole lot of heart. And to everyone here, he is nothing short of beloved.
