Misty’s Story
End of the Trail Horse Rescue offers homes to abused, abandoned and neglected horses of all ages. We give rescue horses a second chance.
Misty is a sweet Arabian mare who came to us because she was walking in an odd manner and her owner could not figure out the problem. She was lifting and slamming down her hind leg almost continuously.
She has since been treated by a veterinarian along with Rose Hip Seed Oil therapy on the leg’s scar tissue and is no longer exhibiting the behavior.
Misty works with our Mental Health programs and is loved by many. She loves attention and hangs out with her best friend Josephine, a mule that also works with out therapy programs. These two are a fun pair and make us smile everyday!
