🌸 Meet Misty — Our Sweet Arabian Mare With a Heart for Healing
Misty arrived to us in a moment of worry and uncertainty. Her owner had noticed something unusual — she was lifting and slamming her hind leg with every step, and no one could quite figure out why. We welcomed her in, gently, hoping we could help her find comfort again.
After thoughtful veterinary care and daily Rose Hip Seed Oil therapy on the old scar tissue in her leg, something beautiful happened — the behavior stopped. Misty relaxed. Her movement softened. She returned to herself.
Today, Misty is not just healthy… she’s thriving.
This bright, affectionate Arabian now plays a special role in our Mental Health programs. She brings a calm, grounding presence to those who need it most. Misty has a gift for sensing people’s emotions — leaning in softly when someone needs reassurance, or simply standing close enough to make them feel less alone.
And she never does her work alone. Her best friend Josephine, a wise and playful mule, is always nearby. The two are inseparable — a quirky, heartwarming pair who make us smile every single day. Their friendship is often the very first thing that helps our clients breathe a little easier.
Misty reminds us that healing is possible… That gentle care matters… And that sometimes, the animals who arrive needing help become the very ones who help others the most.
