finegan’s story
End of the Trail Horse Rescue offers homes to abused, abandoned and neglected horses of all ages. We give rescue horses a second chance.
A Gentle Soul
Finegan’s journey hasn’t been an easy one, but his heart has stayed just as soft and hopeful as ever. He was rescued from a kill pen in Eaton, CO, and lovingly brought back to health by the family who saved him. They dreamed of finding him the perfect home, but despite their best efforts, the right match never came. With heavy hearts, they surrendered him to us so he could have another chance at the future he deserves.
Finegan does have a slightly larger left knee, but after several thorough X-rays, he has proven to be sound and comfortable. He’s an easygoing boy who loads into a trailer without fuss, meets you at the gate, and has the kind of gentle manners that instantly make you feel at ease.
We’re still getting to know him, but every day he shows us more of his sweet, willing nature. Finegan is one of those horses who quietly wins your heart — the kind who seems to understand he’s been given a second chance and meets it with gratitude.
If you’re looking for a kind companion with a story of resilience and a soul full of softness, Finegan may be the one waiting just for you.
