Meet Our Sweet Paint Hinny Looking for a Forever Home
Every so often, a special soul comes through our gates — one who reminds us why we open our hearts to the ones who need it most. This handsome Paint Hinny was a $5 bargain from the local sales barn, but to us, he’s priceless.
Life hasn’t always been kind to him. He’s hesitant around adults, and we suspect he has lived through more than he should have. But even with his guarded heart, he has held onto something gentle and pure. He absolutely melts for children — especially one very special child with autism who he trusts enough to let close. Watching him soften under their quiet touch has shown us the truest pieces of who he really is.
He’s adorable, with the longest, most beautiful eyelashes you’ve ever seen — the kind starlets could only wish for. He gets along wonderfully with all our horses and brings a calm, peaceful presence to the herd.
Because he is a hinny, he’s smaller than most mules, which only adds to his charm. He would be an amazing companion for a lonely horse and a sweet addition to the right family. But he needs someone patient, someone who understands that trust is earned slowly. To truly bond with him, a potential adopter will need to visit regularly, giving him time to see that he is safe, wanted, and loved.
We’re watching him open up more every day, stepping out of his shell bit by bit. And we know that somewhere out there is the person who will help him blossom completely — someone who sees not just the shy hinny before them, but the gentle heart waiting to be understood.
If you believe that might be you, we would love to introduce you to him.
